Goudeau signed a minor league pact with the Tigers back in February and never wound up making it to Detroit. The 31-year-old journeyman righty has made 32 appearances (one start) in the majors since 2020.

Goudeau made 12 relief appearances last season for the Rockies in a mop-up relief role, compiling a bloated 7.08 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 16/10 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings (12 appearances). The 30-year-old righty has racked up 32 appearances (one start) in the majors over the last three years and gives the Tigers some additional organizational pitching depth.

Goudeau went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last week and will remain with the Rockies as organizational relief depth. The 30-year-old right-hander has posted an inflated 7.08 ERA, 1.72 WHIP and 16/10 K/BB ratio across 20 1/3 innings (12 appearances) this season at the major-league level.

The move clears a spot on the 40-man roster for waiver claim Dinelson Lamet. Goudeau will now go through the waiver process himself.

Goudeau has been sent down to clear a spot on the Rockies’ activate roster for righty Chad Smith. The 29-year-old righty will remain with Colorado as their 27th man for Saturday’s doubleheader against the Nationals before heading back to the minors.

Goudeau is replacing Robert Stephenson (COVID-19) on the Rockies’ active roster ahead of Monday’s series opener against the Pirates. The 29-year-old righty has recorded an inflated 6.48 ERA, 1.56 WHIP and 12/6 K/BB ratio across 16 2/3 innings (10 appearances) this season at the major-league level.

Goudeau will provide the Rockies with some extra bullpen depth before heading back to the minors at the conclusion of Saturday’s twin bill. The 29-year-old righty has recorded a 7.07 ERA, 1.71 WHIP and 10/5 K/BB ratio across 14 innings this season in the majors.
