Indians signed LHP Benj Sampson to a minor league contract.
Sampson, 27, hasn’t appeared in the majors since 1999. He was effective as a starter in Double-A last season, but he struggled while with Minnesota’s Triple-A club. Don’t expect him to spend any time in Cleveland this year.
