    Flores Jr. has made three relief appearances in the majors since 2020. The 27-year-old lefty has been cut loose after allowing four runs on four hits with a 4/7 K/BB ratio across 4 2/3 innings (three appearances, one start) for Triple-A Round Rock.

    The 27-year-old southpaw spent the first half of the 2022 season in the Reds’ organization where he posted an uninspiring 7.13 ERA, 2.04 WHIP and a 13/12 K/BB ratio over 17 2/3 innings at Triple-A Louisville. He then latched on with the Diablos Rojos del Mexico in the Mexican League where he registered a 4.15 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and a 27/18 K/BB ratio in 26 additional innings. He’ll add bullpen depth in the upper minors for the Rangers.

    Reds released LHP Bernardo Flores Jr.
    Flores Jr. has made three relief appearances in the majors since 2020. The 26-year-old lefty, who inked a minor league deal with the Reds back in April, posted a calamitous 7.13 ERA, 2.04 WHIP and 13/12 K/BB ratio across 17 2/3 innings (five starts) this season at Triple-A Louisville.
