Astros signed LHP C.J. Riefenhauser to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.

Riefenhauser, who turns 27 in January, was released by the Cubs back in August. The southpaw put up a 4.55 ERA and 26/18 K/BB ratio over 27 2/3 innings in Triple-A this past season and hasn’t appeared in the majors since 2015.
