C.J. Wilson was pounded by the Orioles for eight runs in 2 2/3 innings tonight.
As if the Rangers didn’t know exactly what they were getting when they put Wilson back in the rotation. Owner Tom Hicks and GM John Hart were capable of putting a better product on the field, but they chose not to. Rangers fans should be disgusted.

With Kenny Rogers back pitching tonight against the Red Sox, C.J. Wilson, who is 0-4 with a 10.23 ERA, has had his start bumped back until maybe Saturday.
The Rangers might also decide to recall Juan Dominguez from Triple-A Oklahoma to replace him in the rotation. Dominguez was 0-2 in the majors this year with a 5.11 ERA working out of the bullpen.

C.J. Wilson is tentatively set to start for the Rangers on Wednesday against the Red Sox.
That is unless Kenny Rogers has his suspension reduced today. The best-case scenario would be a reduction to ''time served’’ and Rogers becoming available to pitch immediately, which would mean he would go on Wednesday instead. Rogers seems to think the suspension will be reduced, and we should find out later today. He’s missed 11 of the 20 games he was suspended for.

C.J. Wilson took a loss tonight after giving up one run in four innings of relief against the Yankees.
It’d be nice if official scorers had some leeway in cases like this. The Rangers lost tonight because Chris Young gave up five runs in three innings, because Michael Young got thrown out stealing to bail Al Leiter out of a jam and because John Hart has done a terrible job of putting together a major league roster (Tom Hicks and Buck Showalter probably deserve some blame there, too). Wilson did a terrific job of saving the pen and keeping the team in the game and didn’t deserve to go to 0-5 in his career. Because Wilson pitched in relief tonight, it appears likely that James Baldwin will start tomorrow.

The Rangers have yet to decide if C.J. Wilson will make his scheduled start Wednesday against Seattle.
Wilson could be skipped, pushed back to next weekend or replaced by someone like Kameron Loe.

C.J. Wilson fell to 0-6 after allowing five runs in 2 2/3 innings in his start today against the Indians.
Wilson earned himself the start with his performance in relief of John Wasdin against the Yankees six days ago, but that’s pretty much the only time he’s been effective as a major leaguer. He has a 9.62 ERA in six starts and five relief appearances. He’s pitched in one game that the Rangers have won, and in that contest, he allowed four runs in two innings.

Rangers manager Buck Showalter confirmed that C.J.Wilson will be skipped in the rotation this week during the Rangers’ three-game series against Seattle.
The Rangers don’t need a fifth starter until Saturday. Kameron Loe, Wilson or John Wasdin could get that start.

C.J. Wilson was placed on the disabled list at Triple-A with left biceps soreness.
Wilson has now had hamstring, shoulder and biceps problems this season. He has a 5.40 ERA in four games at Triple-A.

C.J. Wilson is expected to leave the Rangers on Thursday to attend a family funeral.
He might miss a couple of games against the Angels this week.

Rangers manager Ron Washington said C.J. Wilson will start Game 1 of the ALDS.
No surprise there. Washington didn’t confirm it, but Wilson will likely be followed by Colby Lewis, Derek Holland and Matt Harrison, in that order. Alexi Ogando will be moved to the bullpen following Saturday’s start.
