Tigers signed first-round pick RHP Cameron Flukey.

It’s a bit of a surprise that Flukey fell to the 22nd pick and the Tigers were able to sign him for $3.8 million. The 21-year-old righty was limited to just 24 starts in his final collegiate campaign at Coastal Carolina, but his stuff remained strong enough to ensure that he would still be a first-rounder. There’s an argument to be made that he’s the second-best pitching prospect in this draft class.

Tigers selected Coastal Carolina RHP Cameron Flukey with the No. 22 selection of the 2026 MLB Draft.

Flukey was viewed as the top pitching prospect coming into the 2026 college season, but he dealt with injuries that limited him to just 24 innings, and mixed results when on the bump for the Chanticleers caused his stock drop a decent amount. Not enough to keep him out of the first-round, however, and when Flukey is at his best, the 21-year-old shows three plus pitches with a fastball that gets into the high 90s with solid spin among them. Flukey offers a bit of risk, but he offers more upside than your typical college pitcher going in thsi range.
