Once a mainstay in the Astros pen, Devenski got hurt in 2020 and has bounced around since, throwing a total of 107 2/3 innings in the majors the last five years. He pitched 16 2/3 innings with a 2.16 ERA for the Mets last year, but apart from that, his best ERA since 2019 is 4.46 in 2023.

Devenski pitched extremely well this season in middle relief for New York, registering a strong 2.16 ERA across 16 2/3 innings of work over 13 appearances. The 34-year-old journeyman reliever has made 316 appearances in the big leagues dating back to 2016. He should be able to latch on somewhere this offseason as emergency organizational depth.

Devenski will likely remain in the organization once again, keeping him available for the postseason if needed (and if the Mets get there). He has a 2.16 ERA in 13 appearances for the Mets this season.
