Roycroft

Roycroft was hammered in his first five appearances with the Cardinals, posting a miserable 12.27 ERA, 3.55 WHIP and a 3/5 K/BB ratio over 3 2/3 innings. He’ll attempt to work through his struggles at the Triple-A level for the time being. Jared Shuster was promoted to take his place in the Cardinals’ bullpen.

Roycroft has a 6.92 ERA and a 9/9 K/BB in 14 appearances out of the St. Louis bullpen this season. He needs a nice showing now if he expects to stick on the 40-man this winter.

Roycroft has struggled in his chances with the Cardinals as seen in a 6.92 ERA over 13 innings. He’ll head back to Memphis — again — with Andre Granillo replacing him on the active roster.

Roycroft will get another shot in the Cardinals pen in spite of his 8.49 ERA in 11 2/3 innings in Triple-A and 7.20 ERA in 10 innings in the majors this year.

Roycroft has been up and down a few times in the 2025 season, and it’s probably not the last time his name will show up on the transaction list. He’s down with Matt Svanson up.

Roycroft provides the Cardinals with a fresh arm heading into Saturday’s showdown against the Mariners. The 27-year-old righty has made 24 relief appearances this season in the big leagues and has been downright dominant at Triple-A Memphis with a sparkling 1.96 ERA and 42/15 K/BB ratio across 41 1/3 innings of work.
