Orioles acquired INFs Cobb Hightower, Victor Figueroa and Brandon Butterworth, RHPs Tanner Smith and Tyson Neighbors and LHP Boston Bateman from the Padres for 1B/DH Ryan O’Hearn and OF Ramon Laureano.
Hightower was the Padres’ third-round selection from the 2024 draft class. He has started his professional career at Single-A Lake Elsinore where he has slashed .239/.363/.314 with one homer, 21 RBI and seven stolen bases through his first 190 plate appearances. He’ll join the Orioles with three members of his fellow draft class.
