Selby will open the season with an extended stint on the injured list after suffering a shoulder injury during his offseason throwing program. The 28-year-old righty made 11 appearances for the Orioles this past season.

Not good. Selby pitched in 11 games for the Orioles in 2025 out of the pen and carried a 3.21 ERA and 1.28 WHIP in a low-leverage role. He wasn’t on the fantasy radar, but his absence may clear the way for some different members of Baltimore’s bullpen depth to make a roster push.

Selby, 27, had been out since July 29 with a strained hamstring. He’ll have two or three relief appearances here to try to make a strong impression ahead of the Orioles’ early offseason roster decisions.

Selby has a 4.09 ERA and 1.55 WHIP in 11 innings out of the bullpen for the Orioles. There is no word yet on his timeline for a return.

The 27-year-old right-hander will take the bullpen spot that was vacated by Bryan Baker after he was dealt to the Rays on Thursday. Selby has made four appearances with the O’s already this season, compiling a 3.18 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and a 10/1 K/BB ratio over 5 2/3 innings. He’ll give manager Tony Mansolino another weapon to deploy in the middle innings.

Selby pitched two scoreless innings last night after being recalled earlier in the day. Since that means he’ll be unavailable for at least one day, back down to Triple-A he goes.

Selby will join the pen, though perhaps only until a starter is needed in Cade Povich’s place. The 27-year-old Selby has allowed two runs in 3 2/3 innings for the Orioles this season.

Selby was with the Orioles for the last couple days until veteran Zach Eflin was ready to return from the injured list. The 27-year-old righty has made three relief appearances this season at the highest level.

The Orioles designated Matt Bowman for assignment and are bringing Selby up to take his place on the active roster. Selby has allowed two runs on three hits in two innings for the Orioles so far this season.

Selby augments Baltimore’s bullpen depth heading into Saturday’s twin bill at Comerica Park. The 27-year-old righty made one relief appearance earlier this month for the Orioles. He’ll operate in low-leverage spots and should head back to Triple-A Norfolk at the conclusion of the doubleheader.
