Brewers optioned RHP Craig Yoho to Triple-A Nashville.
Yoho struggled in his last outing, and the Brewers need a fresh arm for their relief corps ahead of Saturday’s battle against the Cubs. It seems likely Yoho will get another chance to pitch before the summer ends.
  • MIL Relief Pitcher #48
Craig Yoho gave up five runs and walked four while recording three outs Thursday against the White Sox.
Yoho had given up one run in 4 2/3 innings since his callup, but he was all over the place today, throwing just 13 of his 35 pitches for strikes, and he gave up a three-run homer to Miguel Vargas. It’ll be interesting to see if he gets to stick around after this. That he’ll probably be unavailable the next two days doesn’t help his chances.

Brewers selected the contract of RHP Craig Yoho from Triple-A Nashville.
Yoho’s meteoric rise to the majors began last season when he posted an extraterrestrial 42.4 percent strikeout rate across three minor-league levels. The 25-year-old doesn’t possess overpowering fastball velocity, but his signature changeup is a true albatross. It’s been classified as a double-plus offering by Baseball America and gives him a chance to excel right away in a high-leverage role. With veteran Trevor Megill struggling, it might not be too long before Yoho is in the mix for save opportunities in Milwaukee. He’s at least worthy of a speculative pickup in deeper mixed leagues.

The Brewers are promoting reliever Craig Yoho to the majors, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Curt Hogg.
Logan Henderson is going back to Triple-A to open up a spot. Arguably the game’s top relief prospect, Yoho could turn into a long-term closer for the Brewers, though the same could be said for Abner Uribe, and Trevor Megill figures to remain just fine in that spot for now. In other words, there’s probably no reason to go get Yoho in a shallow league right now, even if he is plenty promising. The 25-year-old hadn’t allowed an earned run in 9 2/3 innings for Triple-A Nashville.
  • MIL 3rd Baseman #14
Brewers optioned INF Andruw Monasterio to Triple-A Nashville; reassigned RHP Craig Yoho and C Jorge Alfaro to minor league camp.
Yoho boasts one of the most electric changeups in the game and has recorded astronomical strikeout totals in the upper minors. It feels like only a matter of time before he reaches the big leagues. Monasterio’s departure leaves Caleb Durbin and Vinny Capra as Milwaukee’s likely bench options as versatile utility infielders.

Brewers promoted RHP prospect Craig Yoho to Triple-A Nashville.
Yoho is a bit of an under-the-radar for fantasy purposes since he’s a pure relief prospect, but it’s hard to overlook his raw numbers this season as he’s posted a surreal 0.83 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 83/14 K/BB ratio across 43 1/3 innings (34 appearances) between High-A Wisconsin and Double-A Biloxi. The 24-year-old righty was an eighth-round pick in the 2023 MLB Draft and it wouldn’t be shocking at all if he were pitching in Milwaukee before the season wraps up.
