The procedural move opens up a spot on Atlanta’s 40-man roster to claim catcher Chuckie Robinson off waivers from the Dodgers. The hard-throwing 29-year-old righty hit the injured list with shoulder inflammation earlier this month after compiling a solid 3.41 ERA across 37 innings over 39 appearances.

Hernández gave up three runs in his only appearance since being recalled last week, taking his season ERA from 2.72 to 3.41. It’s unclear if he’ll have a chance to make it back before the end of the month.

Hernández just spent 15 days in Triple-A in spite of a 2.72 ERA in 36 1/3 innings in the majors this season. Of course, it makes sense that the Braves don’t entirely trust him, given that he’s walked 30 batters. He’ll rejoin the pen.

Hernández has been shipped back to the minors to allow Atlanta to bring up a fresh bullpen arm. The hard-throwing 28=year-old righty has compiled a solid 2.72 ERA across 36 1/3 innings (38 appearances) this season at the highest level.

Hernández returns to the majors to fortify Atlanta’s relief depth ahead of Sunday’s game against the Rangers with starter Grant Holmes hitting the injured list with elbow inflammation. The hard-throwing 28-year-old righty has compiled a strong 2.10 ERA across 30 innings (30 appearances) this season at the highest level.

Hernández returns to the minors after handing out three free passes during Saturday’s relief outing against the Cardinals. The 28-year-old righty has pitched three of the last four days, so Atlanta has decided to swap him out for a fresh arm ahead of Sunday’s series finale in St. Louis. He should return at some point in the early stages of the second half.

Hernandez missed a little under a month with inflammation in his right forearm. The 28-year-old will be a middle-inning relief option for Atlanta upon his return.

Hernandez will be out for at least two weeks after suffering the injury against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday. The 28-year-old has been replaced in the Atlanta bullpen by Dylan Dodd.

Still no word on the extent of the injury that Hernández suffered during Wednesday’s outing against the Diamondbacks, but he’ll miss a couple of weeks at a minimum. Dylan Dodd is expected to be recalled from Triple-A Gwinnett to replace Hernández on the club’s active roster.

It certainly looks like a potential injured list situation after Hernández was left shaking his right arm and flexing his fingers after throwing a triple-digit fastball during Wednesday’s relief appearance against the Diamondbacks.
