Marlins acquired OF Diowill Burgos from the Cardinals for OF Austin Dean.
The Marlins designated Dean for assignment last week, so they managed to at least get something of value while letting him go. Burgos turns 19 this month and holds a .263/.366/.475 batting line through his first 114 games in pro ball, all between rookie ball and the Dominican Summer League.
