Brewers re-signed INF Eduardo Garcia to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Garcia was once among the top prospects in the Milwaukee system, but has struggled over the past few seasons. He likely will be a depth piece at the higher levels in 2026.

Brewers SS prospect Eduardo Garcia went 3-for-5 with a stolen base Wednesday for Low-A Carolina.
Garcia’s steal is the seventh on the year in his 41 games with the Mudcats. It’s been a mixed bag of a season thus far for the 19-year-old, as he’s hitting a respectable .282 over 174 at-bats, but his OPS is just .690, and it’s come with an ugly 62/5 K/BB ratio. Still, the talent is obvious, as he not only has a chance to hit for average with some power in his right-hander bat, but he’s a terrific defensive player who looks like a lock to stay up the middle. Garcia is years away from making an impact, but if he reaches his ceiling, he could be an above-average regular at shortstop.
