Peguero provides Baltimore with additional relief depth at Triple-A Norfolk heading into the regular season after spending spring training with the White Sox. The 29-year-old journeyman made nine relief appearances between the White Sox and Brewers last year.

It’s merely offseason housekeeping for the White Sox. Fletcher and Julks are the prominent names here as the tandem figure to draw some interest as depth outfielders on the open market after they elect free agency. Peguero made only two appearances for Chicago after being claimed off waivers from the Brewers before suffering a season-ending elbow strain.

Peguero was just recalled from Triple-A Charlotte earlier this week and given the nature of the injury is likely done for the season. The 28-year-old righty wound up making just two relief appearances for the White Sox. He got into seven contests earlier this year for Milwaukee, which gives him decent odds at picking up a World Series ring in a few months based on their recent hot streak.

Peguero was recalled after Owen White (hip) was placed on the 15-day injured list. Peguero will be a middle-inning option while with the White Sox in this stint.

The Brewers needed to send someone out to make room on the active roster for Jose Quintana’s debut and unfortunately Peguero was the odd man out this time around. The 28-year-old hurler posted a 5.68 ERA, 1.74 WHIP and a 3/4 K/BB ratio over 6 1/3 innings in his five appearances with the Brewers.
