Pirates optioned LHP Evan Sisk to Triple-A Indianapolis.

The 29-year-old southpaw did a nice job in 41 appearances for the Pirates this season, posting a 3.02 ERA, 1.37 WHIP and a 50/25 K/BB ratio across 44 2/3 innings of work. Noah Murdock was recalled from Triple-A Indianapolis in a corresponding move on Sunday.

With Hunter Barco going back to the minors, Sisk will come up to be a multi-inning left-hander reliever for the Piraes. He came to the Pirates at the trade deadline last year as part of the Bailey Falter trade. The 28-year-old had a 3.57 ERA and a 25/10 K/BB ratio in 17 2/3 MLB innings and had allowed just one earned run in 7 2/3 innings at Triple-A with a 14/7 K/BB ratio.
