Geraldo Perdomo went 2-for-5 with a three-run homer in Friday’s loss to the Cubs.
Perdomo homered off reliever Ryan Rolison for his second round-tripper of the season. It was his first time leaving the yard since taking Dodgers ace Yoshinobu Yamamoto deep on Opening Opening back on March 26. It’s undoubtedly a positive sign to see the 26-year-old shortstop stinging the ball again after missing a couple games with an ankle issue earlier this week.

Geraldo Perdomo (ankle) is back in the lineup for Wednesday’s contest against the Brewers.
Perdomo returns to Arizona’s lineup at shortstop and hitting leadoff following a two-game absence due to a left ankle sprain. The 26-year-old has gotten off to a slow start this season, slashing .250/.350/.393 with 11 runs scored, one homer, six RBI and six steals in 102 plate appearances over 25 games. He was one of last year’s biggest breakout stars with a 20-homer, 100-RBI, 27-steal campaign out of nowhere.

Geraldo Perdomo (ankle) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Brewers.
Hard-hitting rookie Jose Fernandez takes over at shortstop again with Perdomo missing his second consecutive contest after suffering a left ankle sprain during Saturday’s showdown against the Padres in Mexico City. The 26-year-old franchise cornerstone doesn’t appear ticketed for the injured list, but that could always change. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day.

Geraldo Perdomo (ankle) is not in the Diamondbacks’ lineup for Sunday’s matchup against the Padres in Mexico City.
The Diamondbacks still believe that Perdomo won’t require an extended absence from the left ankle sprain that he sustained during Saturday’s game, but they’ll hold him out on Sunday as a precautionary measure. Jose Fernandez will make his first career start at shortstop in his place and will bat sixth against Padres’ right-hander Michael King.

The Diamondbacks are calling Geraldo Perdomo day-to-day with a sprained left ankle.
Perdomo was hurt while trying to field a grounder in the Mexico City game Saturday. He’ll probably get at least Sunday off, putting Ildemaro Vargas at shortstop.

Geraldo Perdomo left Saturday’s game in the seventh inning with an apparent left ankle injury.
Perdomo was hurt while awkwardly fielding a grounder, which ended up being an error. He was able to walk off the field without too much of a limp, so hopefully this is just a day-to-day matter. Tim Tawa replaced him, with Ildemaro Vargas moving from first to short.

Geraldo Perdomo tripled twice in a win over the White Sox on Wednesday.
Perdomo hit two of the three triples for the D-backs in the win. He’s up to three three-baggers on the season, and those hits along with a single has pushed his slash to .266/.366/.416.

Geraldo Perdomo is not in the Diamondbacks’ starting lineup for Sunday afternoon’s showdown against the Blue Jays.
Perhaps this was already a planned day off for Perdomo, but it’s odd to give the slumping infielder a breather after he went 3-for-4 with an RBI on Saturday night against the Jays. Jose Fernandez will start in his place at shortstop and bat third for the Diamondbacks on Sunday.

Geraldo Perdomo drove in a run while going 3-for-4 against the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Perdomo singled for all three knocks. It’d be nice to see some more extra-base hits, but it’s just nice to see hits from a hitter who was so good in 2025 and struggled for most of 2026. With the three knocks and RBI, he’s now slashing .229/.325/.314 with seven runs driven in.

Geraldo Perdomo went 2-for-4 and swatted a two-run homer as the Diamondbacks fell to the Dodgers on Opening Day in Los Angeles.
Perdomo singled with two outs in the opening inning but was then picked off by Yoshinobu Yamamoto. He then opened the scoring in the contest when he crushed a 398-foot (102.0 mph EV) two-run shot off the Dodgers’ ace. The 26-year-old shortstop was one of the breakout stars of the 2025 campaign and his 2026 season is already off to a roaring start.
