Without a first-round selection in the draft, the Angels nabbed Green with their first pick at No. 59 overall. The 6-foot-4, 180-pound was regarded as one of the better high school left-handers in this year’s class, and he features a three-pitch mix highlighted by a low-90s fastball and above-average breaking ball. His bonus matches the assigned slot for the No. 59 overall pick.
