Dodgers sent RHP Jake Reed outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Reed went unclaimed on waivers after being designated for assignment last week. The 30-year-old journeyman reliever has the option to elect free agency or remain with the Dodgers as extra organizational relief depth at Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Dodgers designated RHP Jake Reed for assignment.
Well, that was fast. Reed recorded only two outs and was destroyed for six runs on Friday in his season debut against the Cubs, which led to the decision to remove him from the 40-man roster. He’ll likely head back to Triple-A Oklahoma City if he goes unclaimed on waivers.

Dodgers selected the contract of RHP Jake Reed from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Reed was outrighted off the 40-man roster back in January, but he’s back on the active roster now that Michael Grove (groin) is headed to the injured list. The 30-year-old was off to a rough start in Triple-A this year and will provide some bullpen depth over the weekend.

Dodgers sent RHP Jake Reed outright to Triple-A Oklahoma City.
Reed, 30, has been designated for assignment five times in six months, but no one put in a claim for the right-hander this time. The right-hander can report back to Oklahoma City, or could elect free agency.

Dodgers designated RHP Jake Reed for assignment.
Reed, 30, has been designated for assignment five times in the last six months. The right-hander is cleared from the 40-man roster to make room for J.D. Martinez.

Dodgers claimed RHP Jake Reed off waivers from the Red Sox.
Reed was designated for assignment on Wednesday, and the Dodgers will add him to their 40-man roster. It’s a return to the organization for the 30-year-old, who was awful in 2022 with a 7.02 ERA in his limited action with Los Angeles, the Mets and Orioles. This is the third time the Dodgers have added Reed to their organization in 18 months.

Red Sox designated RHP Jake Reed for assignment.
The Red Sox had a handful of players they wanted to protect from the Rule 5 draft on Tuesday and in order to do so, they had to free up a couple of spots on the 40-man roster -- which ultimately cost Reed his spot. The 30-year-old hurler compiled a cringe-inducing 7.02 ERA, 1.50 WHIP and 13/8 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 innings between the Mets, Dodgers and Orioles in 2022.

Red Sox claimed RHP Jake Reed off waivers from the Orioles.
Reed was designated for assignment by the Orioles, and the Red Sox will take a chance with a 40-man roster spot after designating Eduard Bazardo for assignment. The right-hander was awful in 16 2/3 innings and a 7.36 ERA while spending time with the Dodgers, Mets and Baltimore.

Orioles designated RHP Jake Reed for assignment.
The O’s needed to clear a spot on their 40-man roster in order to claim Jake Cave off of waivers from the Twins on Tuesday and it looks like Reed drew the short straw this time around. The 29-year-old hurler posted a miserable 7.36 ERA, 1.55 WHIP and 13/8 K/BB ratio over 16 2/3 innings between the Mets, Dodgers and Orioles. He’ll still get a ring if the Dodgers win the World Series though.

Orioles optioned RHP Jake Reed to Triple-A Norfolk.
Reed was claimed off waivers from the Dodgers earlier this month and went on to serve up six runs -- four earned -- in 5 2/3 innings with the O’s. The 29-year-old reliever has a career 5.74 ERA at the MLB level.
