    De La Rosa is the big name here, as the 20-year-old put up a strong .280/.358/.436 batting line with 11 homers and 39 stolen bases over 101 games between Low-A and High-A last season. He’s ranked as the No. 8 prospect in the Nationals’ system per MLB Pipeline and was added to the Nats’ 40-man roster during the offseason.

    Nationals selected the contract of OF Jeremy De La Rosa from High-A Wilmington.
    The dynamic 20-year-old outfielder from the Dominican Republic is now protected from the Rule 5 draft. De La Rosa split his 2022 season between Low-A Fredericksburg and High-A Wilmington, hitting an impressive .280/.358/.436 with 11 homers, 67 RBI and 39 stolen bases (in 46 attempts) over 101 games. He’ll either return to Wilmington to begin the 2022 season, or jump up a rung on the organizational ladder to Double-A Harrisburg.
