Marlins signed INF Jonathan Gusman to a minor league contract.
The 24-year-old shortstop appeared in 28 minor league games for the Diamondbacks in 2023 — slashing .245/.358/.304 with a pair of homers, 16 RBI and five stolen bases in 120 plate appearances between High-A Hillsboro and Double-A Amarillo. He also appeared in 55 games for the Long Island Ducks of the independent Atlantic League where he hit .260/.295/.323 with a homer, 22 RBI, five swipes and a 41/7 K/BB ratio in 169 plate appearances. He’ll add minor league infield depth for the Fish.
