Castillo

Castillo takes his talents overseas after being non-tendered by the Mets last month. The 29-year-old southpaw made relief appearances between the Mets, Diamondbacks, Orioles and Mariners last season, finishing with a respectable 3.94 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and 30/14 K/BB ratio across 32 innings of work. He’ll aim to build up his long-term value in Japan before returning stateside in the future.

The Kranick and Young moves, reported earlier today, are now official. Joining them is Castillo, who was briefly a Met during the season and rejoined the team after claimed off waivers from the Orioles earlier this month. He could stay with the club on a minor league deal.

Castillo heads back to the Big Apple where he made 16 relief appearances this past season. The 29-year-old southpaw bounced around between several clubs last year, making appearances for the Mets, Orioles, Mariners and Diamondbacks. He should compete for a bullpen spot next spring.

Castillo heads to Baltimore’s injury-ravaged relief mix for the final two weeks of the season after a brief stint with the Mariners where he made three scoreless appearances. The 29-year-old lefty posted an encouraging 2.35 ERA across 15 1/3 innings (16 appearances) earlier this year for the Mets after getting lit up in a handful of early-season outings with the Diamondbacks.

The 29-year-old southpaw was claimed off of waivers from the Mets last week. He appeared in three games during his time with the M’s, hurling three scoreless innings with a 1/2 K/BB ratio. He’s talented enough that he may once again attract interest on waivers from teams in need of bullpen depth.

Castillo joins Seattle’s bullpen mix — potentially, anyway — after being designated for assignment at the end of August by New York. The 29-year-old could take the spot of Tayler Saucedo in the coming days, but obviously there’s no fantasy intrigue to that role.

Castillo has once again been removed from New York’s bullpen mix after posting an inspiring 2.35 ERA across 15 1/3 innings (16 appearances) this season.

Castillo has a 2.19 ERA in 12 1/3 innings out of the pen for the Mets this season, though he still cleared waivers after being designated for assignment late last month. He’s out of options, so he could go back on waivers again at some point.

The 29-year-old southpaw was designated for assignment on Sunday but passed through waivers unclaimed. He’ll continue to function as extra bullpen depth for the Mets at the Triple-A level.

Castillo has been jettisoned from New York’s bullpen mix ahead of Sunday night’s contest against the Giants to make room for southpaw Gregory Soto, who was acquired earlier this weekend from the Orioles. The 29-year-old lefty posted a solid 2.19 ERA across 12 1/3 innings (14 appearances) this season for the Mets.
