Red Sox signed RHP Jose Disla to a minor league contract.
Disla, a 24-year-old native of the Dominican Republic, spent his first seven professional seasons toiling in the minor leagues for the Rays. Overall, he posted a 5.16 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 194/105 K/BB ratio over 221 2/3 innings -- throwing just eight innings above High-A ball. He’ll add minor league bullpen depth for the Red Sox.
