Rangers signed LHP Josh Dye to a minor league contract.
Dye was released by the Royals earlier this month and quickly latched on with the Rangers. The 26-year-old lefty will head to Triple-A Round Rock as extra organizational relief depth.

Royals reassigned LHP Josh Dye to minor league camp.
The Royals roster cutdown continued by casting Dye to minor league camp at the conclusion of Saturday’s Cactus League nightcap. The 25-year-old lefty reliever compiled a solid 2.60 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 73/19 K/BB ratio across 65 2/3 innings (40 appearances) last year between Double-A Northwest Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha. There’s a chance he gets a shot in the majors this season.
