Braves signed 3B Joshua Fuentes to a minor league contract.
The deal also presumably includes an invitation to spring training. Fuentes was released by the Blue Jays last May after some early-season struggles at Triple-A Buffalo. The 29-year-old infielder hasn’t appeared in the majors since the 2021 season when he got into 95 contests for the Rockies. He’ll likely open the 2023 campaign as emergency infield depth at Triple-A Gwinnett.

Blue Jays released INF Joshua Fuentes.
Fuentes inked a minor league contract with the Blue Jays back in late March and didn’t end up making the team’s season-opening roster. The 29-year-old infielder was hitting just .162/.205/.200 with one homer and one steal in 112 plate appearances over 29 games this season at Triple-A Buffalo.

Blue Jays signed INF Joshua Fuentes to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.
Fuentes elected free agency after he was outrighted off the Rockies’ 40-man roster in October. The 29-year-old infielder will get an invitation to spring training camp with the Major League club.

Joshua Fuentes has elected to become a free agent.
Fuentes was outrighted off the Rockies’ 40-man roster last month and and will now test the open market. The 28-year-old batted just .225/.257/.351 during his time with the Rockies this season and will have to settle for a spring training invite somewhere.

Rockies sent INF Joshua Fuentes outright to Triple-A Albuquerque.
The move clears room on the 40-man roster. Fuentes was awful in 2021 with a .225/.257/.351 slash, and is nothing more than organizational depth. There’s a good chance that organization isn’t the Rockies in 2022.

Rockies optioned INF Joshua Fuentes to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Fuentes went 1-for-8 with no walks and two strikeouts during his latest stay on the Rockies’ active roster, leaving him with a .225/.257/.351 batting line for the year.

Rockies recalled INF Joshua Fuentes from Triple-A Albuquerque.
The 28-year-old was recalled after Connor Joe suffered a right hamstring strain that forced him to the 10-dau injured list on Saturday. Anyone can be a fantasy option in Colorado, but Fuentes returns to a less than exciting .228/.261/.357 slash line over 263 at-bats with seven home runs.

Joshua Fuentes will serve as the 27th man for the Rockies in Wednesday’s doubleheader against the Cubs.
He’ll only be available for the nightcap in Chicago. Fuentes, 28, was optioned out to Triple-A Albuquerque at the end of July after batting just .228/.261/.357 through his first 90 games (276 plate appearances) this season at the major league level.

Rockies optioned INF Josh Fuentes to Triple-A Albuquerque.
It’s a little surprising to see Fuentes sent down considering he’s played 90 games for the Rockies. It’s less surprising to see him sent down when you see his .618 OPS. Fuentes will likely be back with the Rockies at some point this summer or before the end of the campaign.

Ryan McMahon (leg) remained out of the Rockies’ lineup Monday.
The Rockies had hoped McMahon would be ready to play, but he’ll miss a second straight game with lower leg stiffness. Joshua Fuentes is at third base and Brendan Rodgers is at second.
