Nationals signed SS Kelvin Diaz to a minor league contract.
The 21-year-old infielder spent the last three seasons within the Pirates organization with two seasons coming in the Dominican Summer League and one season in the Florida Complex League. Diaz has a career .215/.372/.364 with four home runs and 45 RBI across 348 plate appearances.
