Kit Pellow drove in four runs with a pair of homers for Culiacan of the Mexican Pacific League yesterday.
The Rockies dropped Pellow from their 40-man roster in August, so he’s currently a minor league free agent. He’ll battle for a spot as the 25th man on some team’s roster next spring.
  • SEA Outfield
Rockies designated outfielder Kit Pellow for assignment.
It might have been a good idea to carry him initially, but after he was sent down in June, Pellow shouldn’t have been brought back to the majors in early July. He did a poor job off the bench for the Rockies, and at 30 years of age, he has no future with the club.
  • SEA Outfield
Mariners signed catcher-outfielder Kit Pellow to a minor league contract and invited him to spring training.
Pellow, 31, blew his big chance by hitting .240 in 121 at-bats for the Rockies last season. He’s unlikely to win a place on Seattle’s bench.

Kit Pellow made his first start behind the plate on Friday and went 4-for-4.
Pellow, a third baseman throughout his career, did some catching at Colorado Springs this year. He’s hopeful the added skill will get him a job as some team’s 25th man next season.

Kit Pellow hit a pair of two-run homers Wednesday to lead the Rockies over the White Sox.
Since he’ll be catcher-eligible right from the start of the year, Pellow would be an intriguing $1 pick if he lands a spot on the Colorado bench. He could be a backup at first, third and in left field for the Rockies.

    Rockies non-tendered catcher-infielder Kit Pellow.
The Rockies are expected to re-sign Pellow to a minor league deal. Because he’s catcher eligible, the 30-year-old Pellow is a sleeper. If he makes the Rockies out of spring training, he’ll be a great $1 pick.
  • SEA Outfield
Free-agent infielder Kit Pellow hit .275 with 14 homers and an 818 OPS in 258 at-bats in the MPL.
Pellow will be catcher-eligible next season, making him a intriguing $1 pick if he lands a job as a bench player. The Rockies are likely to re-sign him and give him a chance to compete for a spot.

Kit Pellow went 0-for-5 tonight in Colorado’s 14-4 victory.
Pellow is 3-for-19 this season. Expect him to lose playing time to Rene Reyes if Preston Wilson can return this weekend.

Mariners sold the contract of catcher-outfielder Kit Pellow to the Lotte Giants of Korea.
Pellow, 31, failed to win a spot on the Seattle bench during spring training. He’s hit .257/.335/.381 in 202 AB as a major leaguer.
