Reds optioned RHP Luis Mey to Triple-A Louisville.
Mey heads back to the minors after registering an encouraging 3.43 ERA across 21 innings (23 appearances) this season in the majors. The hard-throwing 24-year-old rookie should return at some point in September once rosters expand.

Reds recalled RHP Luis Mey from Triple-A Louisville.
Mey returns to Cincinnati’s relief mix for Wednesday’s game against the Dodgers after lefty Taylor Rogers was shipped to the division-rival Pirates in the Ke’Bryan Hayes deal. The hard-throwing 24-year-old rookie has pitched well this season in his 15 relief outings.

Reds optioned RHP Luis Mey to Triple-A Louisville.
Mey returns to the minors with veteran Scott Barlow returning from paternity leave after missing only one contest. The hard-throwing 24-year-old rookie has pitched well in 15 relief appearances this season at the highest level.

Reds recalled RHP Luis Mey from Triple-A Louisville.
Mey gets the nod with Scott Barlow away from Cincinnati after being placed on the paternity list. He’ll give the Reds a bullpen boost, and also could be auditioning for teams as one of the better relief prospects in baseball.

Reds optioned RHP Luis Mey to Triple-A Louisville.
Mey earns a ticket back to the minors after making just one relief appearance during his latest stint with the Reds. The hard-throwing 23-year-old righty should be back at some point later this summer.

Reds recalled RHP Luis Mey from Triple-A Louisville.
Mey returns to the big leagues with setup man Graham Ashcraft hitting the injured list with a groin strain. The hard-throwing 23-year-old rookie has allowed six runs over 13 innings (14 appearances) this season at the highest level.

Reds optioned RHP Luis Mey to Triple-A Louisville.
Mey was called up at the start of May and pitched well in his first few outings, but scuffled over the last few. The 23-year-old likely will be back with the Reds at some point this summer as a middle-innings option, but a corresponding move will be announced by Cincinnati on Friday.

Reds recalled RHP Luis Mey from Triple-A Louisville.
Mey will make his major league debut despite walking seven in nine innings of relief work for Louisville. The 23-year-old’s sinker touches 100 mph and produces grounders, but he lacks command of both that and his average slider. He’s promising, but he might not succeed right away.

Reds optioned RHP Luis Mey to Triple-A Louisville.
The 23-year-old hurler was always a longshot to crack the Reds’ Opening Day bullpen, so this move doesn’t come as a major surprise. Mey registered a 3.86 ERA and a 1.93 WHIP with eight strikeouts over 4 2/3 innings in Cactus League competition. There’s a decent chance that he makes his debut with the big league club at some point during the 2025 season.

Reds selected the contracts of RHP Luis Mey and INF/OF Tyler Callihan from Triple-A Louisville.
Neither Mey or Callihan are Top 30 prospects in Cincinnati’s system, according to MLB Pipeline, but they’ve earned spots on the club’s 40-man roster to protect them from next month’s Rule 5 Draft. Of that pair, Mey is the most intriguing from a fantasy standpoint as he recently was lighting up Statcast radar in the Arizona Fall League with a triple-digit fastball as one of the better relievers on the circuit. The 23-year-old righty will most likely open next season back at Double-A Chattanooga.
