Braves signed C Matt Kennelly to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Kennelly spent his first six and a half pro seasons in the Braves organization before finishing last year at Triple-A with the Reds. He’s back with Atlanta now and will be in big league camp this spring, though he’ll almost surely begin 2014 back in the minors.

Braves re-signed C Matt Kennelly to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
The 26-year-old backstop spent his 2015 season between Double-A Mississippi and Triple-A Gwinnett where he slashed .217/.306/.252 with no homers and 23 RBI in 91 games. He’s nothing more than organizational catching depth for the Braves.
