Tigers SS/3B prospect Kevin McGonigle is at shortstop and leading off for the American League in Sunday night’s Fall Stars Game in Arizona.
McGonigle has been sizzling-hot in the desert recently, batting .462 (6-for-13) with three homers and seven RBI over his last three games. The 21-year-old prodigy is batting .385/.494/.754 with five round-trippers and three steals across 17 games this fall. He’ll enter next season as one of the top prospects in the fantasy landscape and should reach Detroit at some point soon. Here’s the full lineup: McGonigle (SS), Braden Montgomery (CF), Max Anderson (3B), Jonny Farmelo (LF), Blake Mitchell (C), Tommy White (1B), Sam Antonacci (2B), Raudi Rodriguez (DH), Enrique Bradfield Jr. (RF) and Luis De Leon (P).

Max Anderson doubled three times and walked twice for Scottsdale of the Arizona Fall League on Thursday.
Anderson, a .296/.350/.478 hitter between Double- and Triple-A this season, has primarily played second as a minor leaguer, but the Tigers got him some work at third this year and he’s started at the hot corner in both of his AFL games to date. He could be a factor at the position for Detroit sometime next year, assuming that the team doesn’t add a long-term solution in the offseason.

Max Anderson went 3-for-4 and hit his first Triple-A homer Thursday for the Toledo.
Anderson, 23, was playing in his third game for the Mud Hens after hitting .306/.358/.499 with 14 homers in 90 games at Double-A Erie. It’s unlikely that he’ll make his major league debut this season, but his ability to make ample contact with decent power should turn him into at least a part-time player in the majors in 2026 or ’27.
