Bryan Woo (pectoral) is on the Mariners’ roster for the ALCS against the Blue Jays.
Woo’s return provides a massive lift for Seattle’s rotation mix for the best-of-seven series against Toronto after missing the ALDS recovering from pectoral inflammation. It’s unclear when he’ll take the ball during the extended series, but Mariners manager Dan Wilson should provide an update at some point prior to Game 1. The 25-year-old ace posted a spectacular 2.94 ERA across a career-high 186 2/3 innings over 30 starts during the regular season. The only other changes for the Mariners involve versatile Miles Mastrobuoni joining their bench mix with Luke Raley and rookie Ben Williamson being left off.

Mariners recalled INF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni from Triple-A Tacoma.
Mastrobuoni returns for Sunday’s regular-season finale against the Dodgers after spending most of the final two months back in the minors. The 29-year-old’s defensive versatility gives him some appeal in a bench role during the playoffs.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #21
Miles Mastrobuoni will serve as the 27th man for Sunday’s Little League Classic against the Mets.
Mastrobuoni provides Seattle with some additional bench versatility for Sunday’s matchup in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. He’ll likely head back to Triple-A Tacoma at the conclusion of the contest.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #21
Mariners optioned INF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni to Triple-A Tacoma.
The versatile 29-year-old is getting the boot with Luke Raley returning from the injured list on Friday. Mastrobuoni has hit .248/.323/.289 with just one homer, 12 RBI and six stolen bases in 172 plate appearances with the Mariners this season.

Mariners recalled INF/OF Miles Mastrobuoni from Triple-A Tacoma.
Mastrobuoni returns to Seattle in a bench role prior to Wednesday’s contest against the Rangers. The 29-year-old’s defensive versatility makes him the ideal candidate to occupy the final spot on Seattle’s bench as they head into the final two months.
  • SEA 3rd Baseman #9
Ben Williamson is not in the Mariners’ starting lineup for Thursday evening’s tilt against the Mariners.
It looks to be nothing more than a routine night off for the 24-year-old infielder. Williamson has hit an uninspiring .257/.293/.322 with just one homer, 15 RBI, two stolen bases and a 59/11 K/BB ratio over 243 plate appearances for the Mariners this season. Miles Mastrobuoni will start in his place at the hot corner and bat ninth for the Mariners against Yankees’ right-hander Marcus Stroman on Thursday.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #21
Miles Mastrobuoni hit a go-ahead run-scoring single in the 12th inning to help the Mariners beat the Rangers on Friday.
Mastrobuoni slashed an opposite-field single to score Randy Arozarena to give the Mariners a 7-6 lead and ultimately a win. The 29-year-old also made a spectacular catch in the bottom of the 11th to keep the game going. Mastrobuoni has been a big help for the Mariners’ bench in 2025, but that help doesn’t carry any kind of fantasy significance.
  • SEA 2nd Baseman #21
Miles Mastrobuoni went 1-for-4 with an RBI single and a run scored as the Mariners rolled to an easy victory over the Guardians on Sunday afternoon.
The 29-year-old infielder actually opened the scoring in the ballgame as he smacked an RBI single off of Luis Ortiz in the home half of the second inning. He then rode home on J.P. Crawford’s game-changing grand slam. That would be Mastrobuoni’s only hit in four plate appearances on the day. For the season, he’s slashing an underwhelming .241/.323/.295 with just one home run, nine RBI and three stolen bases in 130 plate appearances.
  • SEA Shortstop #92
MLB.com’s Daniel Kramer reports the Mariners are planning to call up top prospect Cole Young after pulling from Friday’s game for Triple-A Tacoma.
The Mariners have gotten quality production from their second basemen this season, but they obviously — and probably correctly — don’t trust that the same will hold true going forward. Young, who hit .278/.391/.463 with five homers and four steals in 53 games for Tacoma, will likely get most of the starts there for now. The 21-year-old top prospect has been on fire lately, hitting .366 since the start of May. It’s quite possible he’ll be an upgrade, but since he’s unlikely to be a particularly strong source of homers or steals, he probably won’t be of much use in shallow mixed leagues. Miles Mastrobuoni figures to lose much of his playing time with Young up. Leo Rivas could be demoted to Triple-A Tacoma to clear space.
  • SEA Shortstop #25
Dylan Moore is not in the Mariners’ starting lineup for Friday night’s battle against the Astros.
It appears to be a routine night off for the dynamic 32-year-old, and getting him a breather against a right-hander makes a great deal of sense. Miles Mastrobuoni will start in his place at second base and bat eighth for the M’s against Ryan Gusto and the Astros on Friday evening in Houston.
