Rangers optioned RHP Emiliano Teodo to Triple-A Round Rock and RHP Winston Santos to Double-A Frisco; reassigned RHP Nabil Crismatt, RHP Declan Cronin, OF Trevor Hauver to minor league camp.
Teodo is coming off a disappointing 2025 season where he dealt with injury and an inability to throw strikes, but he has an electric arm and could help Texas before the end of 2026. Crismatt likely has an opt-out, so he’ll have a choice to either report to Triple-A or elect free agency.

Rangers’ general manager Chris Young told reporters on Thursday that right-hander Nabil Crismatt will undergo elbow surgery.
It’s a tough break for the 31-year-old hurler who had been slated to compete for Team Colombia in the upcoming World Baseball Classic. No word yet on how long he’ll be shelved for, it’ll ultimately depend on which procedure he undergoes.

Rangers signed RHP Nabil Crismatt to a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training.
Crismatt threw 34 innings for the Diamondbacks in 2025, posting a 3.71 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 25/9 K/BB ratio in eight appearances (five starts). This will be Crismatt’s second stint with the Rangers after playing one month with them in Triple-A in 2024.

Diamondbacks RHP Nabil Crismatt elected free agency.
Crismatt will get a head start on the offseason after refusing a late-September minor league outright assignment from Arizona. The 30-year-old journeyman recorded a serviceable 3.71 ERA across 34 innings over eight appearances (five starts) this season for the Diamondbacks. He should be able to find an opportunity somewhere as emergency pitching depth.

Diamondbacks sent RHP Nabil Crismatt outright to Triple-A Reno.
Crismatt passed through waivers unclaimed after being designated for assignment last week. The 30-year-old journeyman recorded a serviceable 3.71 ERA across 34 innings over eight appearances (five starts) this season for Arizona. He’ll head to the open market in search of a new opportunity at the start of the offseason.

Diamondbacks designated RHP Nabil Crismatt for assignment.
The 30-year-old hurler actually did a decent job for the Diamondbacks, going 3-0 with a 3.71 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and a 25/9 K/BB ratio over 34 innings in eight appearances (five starts). He pitched in a bulk role on Thursday though and was unlikely to be available for the remainder of the season, so it made sense to swap him out for a fresh bullpen arm.

Nabil Crismatt was lit up for seven runs — five earned — and three homers in three innings by the Dodgers on Thursday.
Crismatt entered in the second after opener Jalen Beeks gave up one run in the first. The Diamondbacks never scored, so it was actually Beeks who wound up with the loss today. Still, it’s a tough finish for Crismatt, who came in with a 2.61 ERA in five starts and two relief appearances. He finishes at 3.71 now. He’ll likely lose his roster spot after the season.

Nabil Crismatt will move to the bullpen for the remainder of the 2025 season.
The Diamondbacks are moving to a four-man rotation to finish the season as they try and pull off an improbable postseason berth. Zac Gallen, Ryne Nelson, Brandon Pfaadt and Eduardo Rodriguez will get the remainder of the starts for Arizona, and Crismatt will be a multi-inning option in the middle innings.

Nabil Crismatt moved to 3-0 for the Diamondbacks after allowing only a pair of unearned runs in five innings Sunday against the Twins.
Jordan Lawlar committed two errors at third in the second, resulting in the runs. Crismatt, who might be pitching his way into Arizona’s 2026 plans, allowed three hits, walked none and struck out four in lowering his ERA to 2.70. He should face the Phillies next weekend.

Nabil Crismatt gave up four runs in four innings in a start against the Giants on Monday.
Crismatt and Anthony DeSclafani essentially piggybacked this game, and neither one was effective. They combined to allow eight runs — four for each — while giving up five homers; three by Crismatt, two by DeSclafani. Long-ish story shorter: bad. Crismatt and DeSclafani likely will pitch in similar roles Sunday against the Twins.
