Daulton Varsho (wrist) remains out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Phillies.
Toronto skipper John Schneider told reporters Varsho underwent an MRI that didn’t reveal any structural issues. It remains unclear why he simply hasn’t gone to the injured list since he’s out of the lineup for the fourth straight game with a lingering left wrist issue. It’s plausible that he’s available off the bench, if needed, but the Blue Jays will roll with Nathan Lukes patrolling center field on Tuesday night.

Nathan Lukes went 2-for-5 with a solo home run and two runs scored on Wednesday against the Braves.
Lukes is raking after a frightening bout with vertigo. He missed practically the entire month of May and played sparingly in April, but is 13-for-30 since returning a week and a half ago and smashed his first home run of the season in this one. The Blue Jays pushed him right back to the top of their order as well with Lukes hitting either first or second in all seven starts since being activated. He could be a fun target in a deep league.

Nathan Lukes is out of the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Marlins.
Blue Jays skipper John Schneider told reporters the decision was made to give Lukes some time to rest his hamstring and isn’t related to him being struck in the helmet by a pitch during Monday’s series opener. The 31-year-old outfielder went 3-for-4 in his return from the injured list after missing nearly a month with a left hamstring strain. Daulton Varsho is back in the lineup patrolling center field on Tuesday night at the Rogers Centre.

Nathan Lukes went 3-for-4 on Monday against the Marlins in his return to the lineup.
Lukes made his return to Toronto’s lineup after missing nearly one month with a hamstring strain. He collected three singles and was also fortunate to avoid serious injury when he was struck in the head by a pitch during the seventh inning of the contest.

Blue Jays activated OF Nathan Lukes from the 10-day injured list.
Lukes missed right around a month with his hamstring strain. The 31-year-old outfielder will likely see a good amount of starts in the outfield now that he’s healthy enough to do so, but he doesn’t have enough offensive oomph to provide fantasy production on a consistent basis.

Nathan Lukes (hamstring) is closing in on a return to the Blue Jays.
Lukes has a planned day off from his rehab assignment on Friday. He’ll then play in two games on Saturday and Sunday before joining the Blue Jays to be reevaluated on Monday. If all goes well, he’ll be cleared to rejoin the team then. The 31-year-old outfielder has been shelved since the final week of April due to a left hamstring strain.
  • TOR Right Fielder #38
Nathan Lukes (hamstring) will begin his rehab assignment with low-A Dunedin on Tuesday, starting as the designated hitter.
The plan is for Lukes to then play a couple of games in the outfield before the next steps are set. He may be promoted to a higher level, or he could return right after that. We should know more by the end of the week.

Blue Jays placed OF Nathan Lukes on the 10-day injured list with a left hamstring strain.
Lukes is likely to miss a couple weeks after suffering a hamstring strain during Friday’s game against the Guardians. The 31-year-old’s absence is another hit to the Blue Jays’ outfield depth, but he’s a non-factor for fantasy purposes.

Nathan Lukes will undergo an MRI exam on his left hamstring after exiting Friday’s game against the Guardians in the first inning.
Blue Jays’ manager John Schneider told reporters after the game that he was encouraged that Lukes told him that the injury felt “cramp-like”. He’ll undergo imaging just to ensure that everything is alright, but it sounds like Lukes may have been fortunate to avoid significant injury here. Be sure to check back on his status prior to Saturday’s contest.

The Blue Jays announced that Nathan Lukes was pulled from Friday’s game against the Guardians due to left hamstring discomfort.
That’s what it looked like when he pulled up at second base following a double in the opening inning on Friday night and now we have confirmation. What isn’t clear yet is the severity of the injury and how much time — if any — the 31-year-old outfielder stands to miss. The Jays should have an update on his status and a timeline for his return prior to Saturday’s contest.
