Add another name to the ever-expanding list of injured Giants, as first baseman Brandon Belt is headed for an MRI exam after leaving Tuesday’s game with a strained groin.
Belt suffered the injury while chasing after a foul ball and afterward told Alex Pavlovic of CSNBayArea.com: “Honestly I don’t think it’s too bad.”
However, manager Bruce Bochy seemed a little less certain that it’s a minor injury, adding: “It’s not worth taking the chance.”
Adam Duvall and Andrew Susac are the likely fill-in options.
