You’d figure that with the games beginning and there being actual baseball stuff to talk about that BSOHL stories would have stopped by now, but they still keep trickling in. To wit: Peter Gammons on Tigers second baseman (I suppose) Brandon Inge:
Inge worked out all winter in Ann Arbor, Mich., doing mixed martial arts and strength and agility training. He claims to be in the best shape of his life. “I was embarrassed by last season [when he hit .197 and was sent to Toledo], so I decided to kill myself, come back and try to hit 25 home runs.”
A health claim and a performance claim all in one. That’s a solid BSOHL right there.
