Dodgers third baseman Justin Turner has been on the disabled list since the end of July because of a bothersome skin infection on his right inner thigh.
He’s being going through baseball drills at Dodger Stadium over the last couple of days and could be activated as early as Thursday evening, but the 30-year-old revealed something rather troubling Wednesday in a discussion with the media ...#Dodgers Justin Turner said he was told he had MRSA, a type of staph infection that can be very difficult to treat, very serious if spreads

It’s obviously under control now, but staph infections are serious business around baseball clubhouses and other types of locker rooms because of the nature of what goes on inside those facilities and the way these infections spread. Turner was slashing .323/.387/.563 in 87 games before landing on the disabled list.
