MLB announced Thursday that right-handed reliever Kameron Loe and minor league outfielder Terrell Joyce have each been suspended 50 games for a second positive test for a drug of abuse. Both players are currently free agents and will begin their suspensions once they sign with new teams.
Loe, 33, owns a 4.49 ERA over 322 appearances in the majors and might be best remembered for his time with the Brewers. He last appeared in the majors in 2013 and pitched exclusively at the Triple-A level last year between stints with the Braves, Diamondbacks, and Royals while posting an ugly 7.51 ERA over over 25 appearances.
Joyce, 22, was a 12th round pick of the Astros in 2012. He batted .231/.309/.495 with 11 home runs and 32 RBI over 53 games with Low-A Tri-City last season.
