The Rays have acquired infielder Rob Refsnyder from the Indians for cash considerations, the club announced on Tuesday.

Refsnyder, 27, had a rough spring, hitting .191/.298/.362 in 58 plate appearances. He hasn’t been much better over parts of three seasons in the majors with the Yankees and Blue Jays, owning a career .233/.306/.311 triple-slash line in 320 PA.

Refsnyder, however, has logged time at first, second, and third base as well as in both outfield corners, so he offers versatility to the Rays.
