Presidential candidate -- hey, don’t look at me like that; he’s still running! -- Rick Santorum did a podcast with Politico and the topic of fantasy baseball came up. Seems Santorum is an avid and, apparently, quite successful fantasy player. Who knew?

The fun part: Santorum does not approve of players who use PEDs. Not just in real life, but not even on his fantasy team. Asked about his fantasy rosters over the years, the former senator from Pennsylvania had this to say:

“Well, I mean, you know, I’m trying to think back whether I ever did guys with steroids or not,” said the former senator. “You know, I think I canned [former New York Yankee Jason] Giambi when I found out about that a few years ago. So, no, I don’t know if I’ve ever had a guy on my team like that, now that you think about it. You know, you have folks you suspect but you’re not sure whether they did them or not. But, no, I think I’ve have pretty much of a clean team, I feel pretty good about that record.”

I’m glad to hear that Santorum never “did guys with steroids.” Because that would violate two parts of his moral code.
