The Orioles have announced that they’ve placed Tommy Hunter on the 15-day disabled list with a left groin strain. Hunter will likely be sidelined for three weeks.
It’s been a rough 2014 so far for Hunter. He has a 6.06 ERA and 1.84 WHIP in 16 and a third innings. He has 11 saves but three blown, two of which have come in his last four outings.
The O’s will use a committee at closer in his absence.
