Right-hander Matt Albers and the White Sox have agreed to a minor-league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Albers settles for a minor-league deal after the Astros declined his $2 million option back in November, but when healthy he’s been a solid middle reliever.
He posted a 2.77 ERA in 123 innings between 2012 and 2013, but missed much of 2014 with shoulder problems.
