Red Sox optioned RHP Pat Light to Triple-A Pawtucket.
Light issued six runs (five earned) over 1 2/3 innings in Saturday’s 21-2 (not a typo) loss to the Angels. He’ll be back with the big club at some point but it might take a while for the stink to wear off after this one. Sean O’Sullivan will absorb Light’s vacant roster spot.

Twins recalled RHP Pat Light from Triple-A Rochester.
Acquired from the Red Sox earlier this month in the Fernando Abad deal, Light holds a 3.53 ERA and 77/45 K/BB ratio over 74 innings in the minors this season in his first full year as a reliever. Control is an issue, but he can hit triple digits with his fastball.

Red Sox recalled RHP Pat Light from Triple-A Pawtucket.
He’ll take Eduardo Rodriguez’s place on the active roster. Light made one appearance for the Red Sox in April and owns a 2.05 ERA and 32/13 K/BB ratio over 26 1/3 innings in Triple-A this season.

Twins acquired RHP Pat Light from the Red Sox for LHP Fernando Abad.
Light, the 37th overall pick in the 2012 MLB Draft, has registered a promising 2.32 ERA with 36 strikeouts in 31 innings of relief this season at the Triple-A level. The 25-year-old righty should see some action out of the Minnesota bullpen by the end of the year.

Twins designated RHP Pat Light for assignment.
He had to go to make room on the 40-man roster for the newly-claimed Ehire Adrianza. Light was acquired by the Twins at the trade deadline in a deal with the Red Sox for Fernando Abad. He pitched in 17 games for the Red Sox and Twins last year, putting up a dreadful 11.34 ERA in 16 2/3 innings. He struck out 16 batters but walked just as many. The 25-year-old owns a strong minor league track record. Another team is likely to claim him on waivers.

Pirates acquired RHP Pat Light from the Twins for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Light was designated for assignment by Minnesota earlier this week to clear a 40-man roster spot for infielder Ehire Adrianza. The right-hander posted a brutal 11.34 ERA in 16 2/3 innings last season between the Red Sox and Twins. He is doubtful to crack the Pirates’ Opening Day bullpen.

Pirates optioned RHP Pat Light to Triple-A Indianapolis.
Light was acquired from the Twins just before the start of spring training for a player to be named later or cash considerations. He never really had a shot of landing a 25-man roster spot out of Pirates camp.

Pirates designated RHP Pat Light for assignment.
The move clears a 40-man roster spot for Edgar Santana, who has been promoted to the Pirates’ bullpen. Light, 26, was sporting a 3.76 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, and 20/15 K/BB ratio in 26 1/3 innings of relief this season at the Triple-A level. He could pass through waivers.

Mariners claimed RHP Pat Light off of waivers from the Pirates.
The 26-year-old hurler registered a 3.76 ERA, 1.44 WHIP and 20/15 K/BB ratio in 26 1/3 innings at Triple-A Indianapolis. He’ll add valuable bullpen depth for the Mariners.

Mariners sent RHP Pat Light outright to Triple-A Tacoma.
The Mariners claimed Light off waivers earlier this month and will get to hang on to him after he cleared waivers this time around. He holds a 4.82 ERA and 20/18 K/BB ratio over 28 Triple-A innings this season.
