Aguero was designated for assignment by the Pirates prior to the regular season. The 26-year-old right-hander posted a 6.14 ERA and 25/17 K/BB ratio over 29 1/3 innings between High-A Bradenton and Double-A Altoona last season. The Rangers have assigned him to Triple-A Round Rock.
