Padres optioned RHP Ron Marinaccio to the Arizona Complex League.
The option to the ACL is due to the Triple-A season being over for El Paso. Marinaccio is replaced on the active roster by David Morgan, who came off the injured list in a corresponding transaction.

Padres recalled RHP Ron Marinaccio from Triple-A El Paso.
With Nestor Cortes (biceps) landing on the injured list on Friday, Marinaccio will rejoin the Padres to add a fresh arm to the bullpen for at least one day. The expectation is that Randy Vasquez will join the team on Saturday, in which case Marinaccio could be heading for a quick return trip to El Paso.

Padres optioned RHP Ron Marinaccio to Triple-A El Paso.
Marinaccio will get the boot from the active roster with JP Sears up from El Paso to start for the Padres on Wednesday. Marinaccio is just a depth arm at this stage of his career.

Padres recalled RHP Ron Marinaccio from Triple-A El Paso.
Marinaccio rejoins San Diego’s relief corps ahead of Saturday’s showdown against the Dodgers. The 30-year-old righty has made a pair of scoreless appearances this season at the highest level.

Padres optioned RHP Ron Marinaccio to Triple-A El Paso.
The 30-year-old right-hander made two appearances during his brief stay with the Padres, hurling 2 2/3 innings of scoreless baseball with a 4/1 K/BB ratio. That should be enough to earn him another call-up the next time that the Padres require a fresh bullpen arm.

Padres recalled RHP Ron Marinaccio from Triple-A El Paso.
Marinaccio will add a fresh arm to the Padres’ bullpen on Friday evening after Kyle Hart was optioned to Triple-A El Paso. The 30-year-old hurler has yet to pitch in the big leagues this season and has registered a 5.06 ERA, 1.39 WHIP and a 39/14 K/BB ratio over 37 1/3 frames at Triple-A El Paso.

Padres recalled RHP Ron Marinaccio from Triple-A El Paso to serve as the 27th man for Wednesday’s doubleheader.
Marinaccio has yet to pitch in the big leagues in 2025 while posting a 4.70 ERA, 1.37 WHIP, and 31/13 K/BB ratio in 30 2/3 innings at Triple-A.

Padres optioned RHP Stephen Kolek, INF/OF Connor Joe and RHP Ron Marinaccio to Triple-A El Paso.
It’ll be Kyle Hart and Randy Vásquez opening the season in San Diego’s starting rotation with Kolek heading to the minors. The Padres’ decision to carry Yuli Gurriel, Gavin Sheets, Jose Iglesias and Brandon Lockridge over Joe is a bit surprising.

Padres acquired RHP Ron Marinaccio from the White Sox in exchange for cash considerations.
Marinaccio’s time with the White Sox was short, as he was claimed off waivers from the Yankees near the end of September and designated for assignment Tuesday. The 29-year-old will likely be at risk of a DFA himself if San Diego needs 40-man room at some point, but assuming he sticks around, he should get a chance to win one of the final spots in the Padres’ bullpen.

White Sox designated RHP Ron Marinaccio for assignment.
Marinaccio was claimed off waivers back in late September from the Yankees after posting a strong 3.86 ERA, 1.20 WHIP and 25/10 K/BB ratio across 23 1/3 innings (16 appearances) last year for New York. The 29-year-old righty has made 101 relief appearances in the big leagues over the past three years. He should garner some interest on waivers.
