Cubs claimed LHP Ryan Rolison off waivers from the White Sox.
So far this offseason, Rolison has been designated for assignment by the Rockies, traded to the Braves, designated for assignment by the Braves, claimed by the White Sox, designated for assignment by the White Sox, and claimed by the Cubs. That’s a busy couple of months. The 28-year-old Rolison posted a 7.02 ERA in 31 appearances for the Rockies in 2025.

White Sox designated LHP Ryan Rolison for assignment.
The White Sox just claimed Rolison off waivers from the Braves on December 12th, but they will now waive him to make room for newly signed Sean Newcomb. The 28-year-old Rolison posted a 7.02 ERA in 31 appearances for the Rockies in 2025 and will try to latch on with another team to get another crack at an MLB job.

White Sox claimed LHP Ryan Rolison off waivers from the Braves.
Rolison was designated for assignment by Atlanta on Thursday, and the claim happens just a day later. The former first-round pick will be at risk of hitting the waiver wire again if/when Chicago adds another player to the 40-man roster.

Braves designated LHP Ryan Rolison for assignment.
The Braves gave up some cash to acquire Rolison from the Rockies last month, but now he’s off the 40-man, probably to be claimed by another team. The 28-year-old hasn’t enjoyed any major league success, having posted a 7.02 ERA in 31 appearances for the Rockies, but it’s easy to imagine another team having more luck with him in relief.

Braves acquired LHP Ryan Rolison from the Rockies for cash considerations.
Rolison, 28, was DFA’d by the Rockies yesterday. A 2018 first-round pick, he reached the majors for the first time in 2025 and had a 7.02 ERA and a 25/20 K/BB in 42 1/3 innings out of the pen as a rookie. That’s obviously discouraging, but his velocity has jumped since his move to the pen, and he could wind up being useful by continuing to lean into his plus curve.
  • COL Relief Pitcher #50
Rockies designated LHP Ryan Rolison for assignment.
Rolison’s time with the Rockies is over after he posted a disastrous 7.02 ERA across 42 1/3 innings over 31 appearances this past season. The 28-year-old former first-round pick will undoubtedly benefit from a change of scenery and there might be another organization out there willing to kick the tires here.

Rockies optioned LHP Ryan Rolison to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Rolison will close out the season back in the minors after posting a calamitous 7.02 ERA across 42 1/3 innings over 31 appearances on a Rockies squad that will finish with fewer than 50 wins.

Rockies recalled LHP Ryan Rolison from Triple-A Albuquerque.
The 28-year-old southpaw will take the place of the injured Luis Peralta in the Rockies’ bullpen. Rolison has already made 27 appearances with the Rockies this season, struggling to a 7.15 ERA, 1.82 WHIP and a 22/18 K/BB ratio over 39 innings. He’ll give them another option in the middle innings.

Rockies optioned LHP Ryan Rolison to Triple-A Albuquerque.
Rolison has been shipped back to the minors to make room for Roansy Contreras, who was claimed off waivers from the Orioles earlier this week. The 28-year-old lefty holds a bloated 7.15 ERA across 39 innings over 27 appearances this season at the highest level.

Rolison will return to the bullpen. He has a 7.41 ERA and a 21/18 K/BB in 37 2/3 innings for the Rockies this season.
