Royals signed RHP Stephen Nogosek to a minor league contract.
The 30-year-old last appeared in an MLB game for the Mets back in 2023. He was in the Nationals organization last season but was released in May after posting a 9.77 ERA in 15 2/3 innings. He has a 5.02 career ERA in 57 1/3 MLB innings and figures to serve as organizational depth for the Royals’ bullpen.

    Nationals released RHP Stephen Nogosek.
The 29-year-old right-hander had been stationed at Triple-A Rochester where he posted a cringe-inducing 9.77 ERA, 2.11 WHIP and a 15/18 K/B ratio over 15 2/3 innings of work. He’ll look to latch on elsewhere.

Nationals signed RHP Stephen Nogosek to a minor league contract with an invitation to spring training.
Nogosek, 29, made 13 appearances out of the Mets’ bullpen during the 2023 season, compiling a 5.61 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and a 25/14 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings. He’ll need a strong showing in Grapefruit League action in order to crack the team’s Opening Day bullpen.

Diamondbacks signed RHP Stephen Nogosek to a minor league contract.
The deal reportedly includes multiple opt-outs and he’ll report to Triple-A Reno on Monday. Nogosek opted for free agency this week after being outrighted off the Mets’ 40-man roster. The 28-year-old posted a rough 5.61 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and a 25/14 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings with New York this season. He’ll make for useful bullpen depth for Arizona.

Stephen Nogosek has elected free agency.
Nogosek has refused an outright assignment to Triple-A Syracuse and will instead test the free agent waters in search of a new opportunity. The 28-year-old righty has made 13 relief appearances this season for the Mets and should be able to latch on somewhere else in short order.

Mets sent RHP Stephen Nogosek outright to Triple-A Syracuse.
The 28-year-old hurler has been designated for assignment over the weekend, but passed through waivers unclaimed and opted to accept an outright assignment to Triple-A. He’ll continue to function as extra bullpen depth for the Mets.

Mets designated RHP Steven Nogosek for assignment.
The 28-year-old right-hander gets booted off of the roster after struggling to a 5.61 ERA, 1.64 WHIP and a 25/14 K/BB ratio across 25 2/3 innings with the big league club. The final straw apparently came in Thursday’s heart-breaking extra-inning loss where he allowed a run on four hits in his 1 1/3 innings of work. There’s a chance that he could get claimed off of waivers by another team desperate for bullpen help.

Nogosek will be available out of New York’s bullpen for Monday’s doubleheader against the Braves. The 28-year-old right-hander has been out since mid-April due to a right elbow contusion.

Stephen Nogosek (elbow) said Friday that he’s “good to go.”
Nogosek allowed four runs in three innings over a pair of rehab appearances between Double- and Triple-A over the past week, but the good news is that he’s feeling better after his recent elbow contusion. He’s eligible to return Sunday and it sounds like there’s a pretty good chance it will happen.

Nogosek, who landed on the injured list last week with a bone bruise in his right elbow when he was hit by a comebacker, is eligible to return from the injured list on April 30.
