Rafael Devers is on the bench for Sunday’s contest against the Brewers.
It appears to be a routine off day for Devers, who rarely misses any time. He’s been scuffling a bit of late, hitting .200 (5-for-25) with two homers over his last seven games. It’ll be Dominic Smith at the cold corner with Wilmer Flores getting an opportunity at DH on Sunday afternoon with Milwaukee rolling with a bullpen game.

Wilmer Flores (hamstring) is in the lineup for Sunday’s series finale against the Nationals.
Flores makes his first start since August 1 after being held out for seven consecutive games due to left hamstring tightness. The 34-year-old veteran came off the bench to pinch-hit during Saturday’s contest. He’s presumably ready to roll after missing more than one week due to injury.

Wilmer Flores (hamstring) delivered a pinch-hit RBI sacrifice fly during Saturday’s loss to the Nationals.
Flores came off the bench during the eighth inning of Saturday afternoon’s contest after being held out of the lineup for seven consecutive games due to a left hamstring issue. The 34-year-old veteran will likely have a limited workload for the next couple days, but it appears he’ll avoid a trip to the injured list.

Wilmer Flores (hamstring) remains out of the lineup for the seventh straight game on Saturday against the Nationals.
Flores has been sidelined for more than one week at this point due to left hamstring tightness. There’s a list to address these types of situations, but the Giants apparently aren’t going to use it. It’ll be Dominic Smith at first base on Saturday afternoon in his place.

Wilmer Flores (hamstring) remained out of the Giants’ starting lineup for Friday night’s contest against the Nationals.
Flores has now missed an entire week’s worth of action after leaving last Friday’s game against the Mets due to tightness in his left hamstring. He’s close to a return though which is why the Giants haven’t placed him on the injured list. He’ll keep taking things day-to-day. Rafael Devers will cover first base on Friday night with Dominic Smith functioning as the team’s designated hitter.

Wilmer Flores (hamstring) remains out of the lineup against the Pirates on Wednesday.
This is now the fifth straight game that Flores will have missed. If the team does place him on the IL, it’s possible they could opt to call up top prospect Bryce Eldridge. For now, Casey Schmitt will start at first base and hit fifth.

Flores remains on the bench for the fourth straight contest since leaving Friday’s contest against the Mets with left hamstring tightness. It’ll be Dominic Smith handling the cold corner on Tuesday night as his absence continues.
