    Bengals waived TE Moritz Böhringer
A novelty because of his German background, Bohringer has hung around for three years but never appeared in a regular season game. He’s probably just about out of practice squad juice.

  • FA Wide Receiver
Bengals signed TE Moritz Bohringer, S Demetrious Cox, C Brad Lundblade, TE Andrew Vollert and WR Kermit Whitfield to reserve/future contracts.
Bouncing around the back ends of rosters since the 2016 draft, 6-foot-4, 243-pound receiver Bohringer is now listed as a tight end.
  • FA Wide Receiver
Vikings signed WR Moritz Bohringer to their practice squad.
A sixth-round pick in April out of Germany with very little organized football experience, Bohringer predictably drowned in his first NFL summer. A size-speed specimen at 6'4/225, Bohringer will be developed on the taxi squad.

    Vikings waived WR Moritz Bohringer.
The German phenom struggled in his transition to the NFL, but he will certainly be stashed on the practice squad if he slips through waivers. With tantalizing physical upside, it would not be surprising if another team put in a claim.

ESPN Vikings reporter Ben Goessling believes sixth-round WR Moritz Boehringer will start his career on the practice squad.
Boehringer has admitted he is struggling with the “mental” part of the NFL game after playing four years in Germany, and he reportedly struggled with drops during OTAs and minicamp. The problem is the Vikings would risk losing Boehringer and his tremendous physical upside if they try to stash him on the practice squad. He is unlikely to make a 2016 impact, but it would not be surprising if he stuck around as a healthy scratch all season.

Vikings sixth-round WR Moritz Bohringer believes he has made strides since the offseason program.
“Especially mentally, I think I’ve improved a lot,” Bohringer said. “Just overall route-running, of course. There’s room to improve, but I think I’ve gotten better.” Bohringer admitted he was struggling with the “mental” side of the game during the offseason, but he seems to be acclimating better in training camp. Bohringer is rich in upside, but he is not guaranteed a roster spot.

Vikings sixth-round WR Moritz Boehringer admitted he’s struggling with the “mental” part of the NFL.
Boehringer was a great story when he was picked by the Vikings in April after playing four years in his native Germany, but it’s time for football and the rookie has struggled with drops and learning the playbook this spring. “It’s a mental thing,” Boehringer said. “I’m not 100 percent comfortable with the playbook, but I think it will come in time.” He’s unlikely to make a 2016 impact.

ESPN 1500 Twin Cities believes sixth-round WR Moritz Bohringer is on the “outside looking in” for a roster spot.
ESPN’s Ben Goessling agrees, saying Bohringer will likely begin his career on the practice squad. Bohringer himself said he is struggling with the “mental” side of the game, and he reportedly dealt with drops in the offseason program. He has the physical upside to be an offensive weapon, but Bohringer has a long way to go.

Vikings signed Moritz Bohringer, Bishop Sankey, DT Sterling Bailey, TE Kyle Carter, WR Cayleb Jones, OT Marquis Lucas, CB Tre Roberson, S Cedric Thompson, and OT Austin Shepherd to reserve/future contracts.
Bohringer and Sankey are the big names here, but MoBo might actually be a better Dynasty asset than the 2014 second-rounder, although both are dart-throws at best. A size/speed freak, Bohringer has a long way to go to become an NFL receiver.
  • FA Wide Receiver
    Vikings waived WR Moritz Bohringer.
A sixth-round pick last year, Bohringer spent his rookie season on the practice squad, but the Vikings are not expected to stash him again this year. A great athlete at 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, it is likely someone lets him occupy a practice squad slot.
