Cole Davies wins Washougal 250 qualification

Cole Davies posted the fastest time in qualification for the Washougal (Wash.) National in Round 25 of SuperMotocross World Championship (SMX). He was the only rider among the top five riders who went faster in the second session.

Cole Davies was seventh best in the first session, but he jumped to the top spot in Q2 with a time of 2:12.269. That was more than 1.5 seconds faster than the field in that session. Julien Beaumer was 2:13.785 in Q2.

Jett Lawrence was the only rider to improve his time during the second session, when track conditions were at its roughest.

Beaumer liked the early conditions best and he topped the Q1 chart with a time of 2:12.562, which was only marginally slower than Davies overall.

Third on the chart was Ryder DiFrancesco (2.12.571). He is coming off a disappointing two weeks after finishing 12th at Southwick and eight in Spring Creek. DiFrancesco wants to regain his podium form after finishing third overall at RedBud.

Drew Adams (2:13.046) has been consistently strong in qualification and he landed in the top-five with the fourth-best time. Adams finished seventh in both motos last week for sixth overall.

Chance Hymas (2:13.078) rounded out the top five. He won his first moto of 2026 last week in Spring Creek, but was relegated to second overall with a bad first race. He finished ninth in Moto 1.

Red plate holder Levi Kitchen (2:13.222) was seventh on the chart.
