Jett Lawrence leads the Big Three in 450 RedBud qualification

Jett Lawrence topped qualification for the RedBud National at Buchanan, Michigan with a time of 2:16.573, but was only a little more than two-tenths of a second faster than Haiden Deegan (2:16.818).

Jett posted his fastest lap in the first session with Deegan upping the ante in Qualification 2. Deegan was only fifth fastest in the first session after loosing his fastest lap for jumping on a red cross flag on the sight lap.

Jett crashed in the second session and collected Jorge Prado on the heavily rutted track, still showing the effects of a severe storm on Friday.

Cole Davies is closing the gap on the points leaders after winning the last round at High Point.

Those two riders were the only ones to settle into the two-minute, 16-second range.

Hunter Lawrence (2:17.579) landed third on the chart as the Big Three continue to separate from the competition.

Prado (2:18.172) and RJ Hampshire (2:18.971) rounded out the top five.

Visiting rider Roan van de Moosdijk (2:20.178) was notably fast in seventh,

In his first of three Pro Motocross races, Tony Cairoli (2:22.974) landed just outside the top 10 in 12th.
